Ben Aspinall and his team visited Malekula on early April this year . They began the tour
with the Dog's Head Walk, and done some other tours during the rest of their stay. It sounds like Ben and his team had a very good experienced  of the astonishing custom and cultures of the people here.
This photo was taken at Pialo Small Kastom Village on the rocky shore.

Tom and Gayla visited Malekula few days ago.   It sounds like they had a really good time here.  Have  a look at Tom’s amazing blog at http://travelwithtom.travellerspoint.com/13/

Tom booked their accommodation and tours through us at Malampa.travel Call Centre.  This photo was taken while they were at the Small Nambas Tour at Rano.

We would like to make one small correction to Tom's blog however: he is certainly not the first "Real Tourist" who booked through our Call Centre!  Hey,it was great to meet you two guys!

Malampa.travel launch at Tok Tok
We launched at Vanuatu's annual tourism trade show in Port Vila last month.  We were honoured to have our launch featured during the opening ceremony.  This shot shows George Borugu, the Director of Tourism, handing a gift of thanks to Bill Dobbie, the New Zealand High Commissioner.  Bill had just presented a start-up funding agreement from the New Zealand Government, for which we are extremely grateful.  George represented the owners of the Call Centre, the Malampa Island Bungalows and Tourism Association (MIBTA).  That's Edna in the background, the Malampa Tourism Officer and Call Centre Supervisor.

Well, the countdown to Tok Tok Vanuatu 2011, the annual Vanuatu tourism trade show and venue of our official launch, is on!  We are launching with 9 fantastic Malekula products, all owned by local Ni-Vanuatu operators.  Check out our product pages, which include some of the professional photographs taken recently by Valery Lebeau.

The Nemi Gortien Ser Small Nambas custom group is coming to Tok Tok with us.  They will perform during the opening and closing ceremonies on 25th and 26th August.  Some of the group will also be based at our booth during Tok Tok, where they will perform various custom activities.  What a boost for Malekula!

We are working hard towards the launch of the Call Centre at Tok Tok Vanuatu 2011 on 25 and 26 August.  We are excited to have secured the services of professional photographer, Valerie Lebeau.  Valerie is visiting Malekula next week to take product shots for brochures and this website.  His visit coincides with a visit by TVET consultant, Pascal Gavotto, who has been providing business coaching to our product operators since early 2010.  Mi mas go nao!
